The Cancer Quality Alliance is a collaborative effort to improve the quality of care provided to cancer patients.  The Alliance seeks to foster collaboration among stakeholders who are committed to cancer care quality improvement, eliminate unnecessary duplication in cancer care quality efforts, encourage the implementation of practical programs to improve quality of care, and become a national voice for quality of cancer care.   The Alliance activities include: 1) fostering the rapid development and implementation of measures appropriate for quality improvement and accountability, 2) enhancing mechanisms for data collection, 3) promoting the development and adoption of oncology electronic medical records (EMRs), and 4) endorsing a blueprint that describes optimal cancer care. The Cancer Quality Alliance will undertake its quality improvement efforts in a cooperative fashion, meeting several times a year and advancing its work between meetings by teleconference and email communication. Application Process Applicants for Alliance membership are asked to determine the appropriate membership category described on the application form (Alliance Members, Liaison Organizations, and Affiliate Organizations) and submit a completed application form to the Alliance.
